Dr Domenico Moro, and Dr Michael Clark (Health Economics contractors, trading via Dr Moro’s company Apple Education Limited).

Dr Michael Clark and Dr Domenico Moro have worked extensively upon health economics analysis including analysis with a market access focus relating to rare disease (Moro et al 2022). They have produced analysis relating to a wide range of clinical areas including Haematology, Nephrology, Oncology, Paediatrics, Dermatology, and Rare diseases, amongst others. They have both lectured in Health Economics at leading international Universities. Moreover, they have particularly strong expertise relating to the application of Discrete Choice Experiments [DCE] in Health. Indeed they are both co-authors of an international methodological systematic review of the healthcare DCE literature published in the leading journal Pharmacoeconomics (Clark et al 2014). Dr Clark has considerable health economics experience acquired whilst working as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Warwick, and has a PhD in Economics involving DCE analysis applied to health. He is currently employed as a Senior Health Economics Consultant by Apple Education Limited. Whilst Dr Moro also has a PhD in Economics, and is a lecturer in Economics at the University of Birmingham. He has an extensive track record as a health economics consultant via his company Apple Education. In addition they have both been involved in the application of new innovative relative social willingness to pay analysis [RS-WTP](Moro et al 2022) alongside DCE methods which they applied to the economic evaluation of a very rare disease CLN2 e.g. to develop a market access / pricing case for a pharmaceutical product. As a team they can both also deliver upon advanced health economics models, including models to establish the value and demand for attributes of pharmaceutical products e.g. utilizing DCE data. They can also develop and execute more conventional cost-effectiveness [CEA] / cost -utility analysis [CUA] models applied to health. Moreover, they can also conduct Cost-Benefit Analyses [CBA] utilizing Discrete Choice Experiment Willingness to Pay analysis [DCE-WTP] to value healthcare Benefits, as well as conduct cost-effectiveness [CEA] / cost -utility analysis [CUA] analyses involving within trial data. They also have experience of conducting published systematic literature reviews, and published literature reviews, relating to health applications. A joint CV highlighting the expertise they can jointly offer to clients is attached. They are both highly approachable, and welcome approaches by individuals, companies, and universities, who might potentially require their skills at reasonable commercial / university rates. They are also open to potentially collaborating to develop appropriate research tenders / research bids utilizing their considerable skills relating to health economics / health policy.
